Elena’s recorded voice was weak but clear.

“If Riley hears this, the Sterlings have already told her I died.”

Elena found the original deed while repairing old uniforms in the estate archive. Blair’s father offered money for it. When she refused, a family psychiatrist called her ownership claim paranoid fixation.

She was placed in a private facility under another name. Riley received a closed casket and the funeral bill.

Blair said a sick woman could repeat any fantasy.

Riley faced her. “Your family called her sick because a housekeeper knowing property law embarrassed you.”

Metadata led police to Mercer Renewal Center, funded by Victoria’s foundation.

Elena was found alive, conscious and medically stable enough to request independent counsel.

Mason looked at Victoria. “You knew?”

“I protected both families from a destructive claim.”

Riley had spent six years believing she failed to save her mother.
