The silver key unlocked a locked cabinet in Claire’s office.
Inside: custody filings, legal petitions, and psychological reports.
All of them painted Ethan as violent, unstable, and unfit to raise Lily.
The disturbing part wasn’t the accusations.
It was the timing.
The “bathroom incident” was already described in detail—before the party even began.
Claire had scripted everything in advance:
Frighten the child
Trigger Ethan
Record only his reaction
Build a legal case from the fallout
Ethan looked at the responding officers.
“They didn’t investigate a crime,” he said. “They manufactured one.”
Claire smiled faintly.
“My sister made a mistake marrying beneath her. A plumber doesn’t get a say in a trust-funded child’s future.”
Ethan’s voice stayed steady.
“I keep your buildings warm while your tenants choose between food and heat.”
Daniel’s footage showed Robert blocking exits.
Claire was the first to make physical contact.
Then a family attorney arrived—with an emergency custody order already signed.
The judge who approved it was sitting at the party.
In his briefcase, police found another petition:
Rachel—Lily’s mother—labeled mentally unstable.
