At the hospital, Emma and the baby were declared stable.
But Vanessa’s attorney arrived before the police.
He claimed the family acted to prevent Emma from fleeing—with the child and millions in trust shares.
The media repeated it instantly. No questions asked.
Daniel uncovered more.
A private evaluator had already labeled Emma:
impulsive
financially dependent
emotionally unstable
The report compared her mother’s rented apartment to the Whitmore estate—as if wealth defined worth.
Lauren confessed she had been invited to witness the confrontation.
Vanessa promised it would be “controlled.”
Then she handed Daniel a voice memo.
Vanessa’s voice echoed:
“Once she falls, Daniel will choose the family.”
A second voice replied:
“He already has.”
