Ethan recalled signing hospital documents after Rosa was allegedly declared dead.

Victoria had told him the body was released.

In reality, one signature authorized private confinement, and another approved cremation without family consent.

Maya confronted him directly:

“You had lawyers, wealth, and every opportunity to question it. My mother had only me.”

Ethan lowered his head.

“I trusted the family name more than her fear.”

Records showed Rosa had uncovered pension theft and was declared mentally unstable before being placed in a private facility.

Investigators later found her alive under an assumed identity.

Victoria called it “compassionate care.”

Rosa responded:

“You stole my freedom and charged me for the room I was imprisoned in.”
