Chapter 4 - THE MEN IN BLACK.

The mansion’s double oak doors burst open.
Six men entered in perfect formation, dressed in immaculate black suits. Their expressions were cold and disciplined, and federal compliance pins gleamed on their lapels.
Vivian straightened immediately.
“Finally. Arrest this girl. She hacked the Sterling Trust, and I want her removed from my property in handcuffs.”
The lead lawyer ignored her.
He walked directly to Maya, stopped before her and bowed respectfully.
“Miss Maya Sterling. I am Arthur Vance, lead compliance counsel for the Sterling Global Trust. We received the biometric distress signal from the primary guardian device.”
Vivian marched toward him.
“I am the legal head of this household. You will speak to me, or I will have your entire firm disbarred.”
Arthur turned with infuriating calmness and removed a sealed document from his briefcase.
“You are Vivian Vance-Sterling. As of sixty seconds ago, your guardianship is void.”
He placed the document on the table.
“Furthermore, you are currently trespassing on private property.”
May you like
Vivian scoffed, but her eyes dropped nervously toward the official seal.
It bore the emblem of the United States Department of Justice.
