Margaret accepted suspension from trust control while an independent court reviewed every signature.
Richard tried to make her admission erase his conduct.

The audit showed Hawthorne House had been renovated using pension deductions from cooks, gardeners, drivers and domestic staff. Employees were promised housing shares. Instead, relatives charged the trust for chandeliers, private chefs and tonight’s Thanksgiving dinner.
A retired cook placed a rejected heating-assistance letter beside the turkey.
“You ate beneath warm lights paid for by workers whose homes went cold.”
Then Clara noticed Richard’s expensive watch matched a reflection in the cellar camera footage.
The video showed him carrying food below.
