Chapter 7 - The Second Child Upstairs
Agents searched the estate and found a hidden nursery behind the east-wing library.
A four-year-old girl named Emma lived there under the supervision of private staff.
Victoria had told employees the child belonged to an overseas relative.
DNA testing showed Emma and Lily were biological twins carried by different women.
Sarah stared through the nursery door.
Victoria had raised one daughter in luxury while tormenting the other to obtain both inheritance claims.
Victoria defended herself from custody.
“Emma had everything Lily lacked—stability, tutors and a proper home.”
Sarah’s voice became deadly calm.
“You gave one sister silk sheets and the other fear, then called the difference love.”
Emma had been taught that Sarah was a dangerous criminal and Lily was a sick child trying to steal her future.
When Lily approached, Emma stepped back.
Sarah refused to force a reunion.
“The adults have already treated these girls like documents. They will meet at the pace they choose.”
Former estate workers testified that Victoria threatened to fire anyone who questioned Emma’s identity.
One nanny had been deported after trying to contact Sarah.
Her family had spent years searching for her.
The worker council demanded that the mansion be seized and converted into survivor housing.
Daniel supported them and permanently renounced the estate.
Harrison mocked him during arraignment.
“You will leave your daughters with nothing.”
Daniel replied, “Nothing stolen is better than everything poisoned.”
Then Emma gave Sarah a folded drawing.
It showed Victoria beside the red heel, Harrison beside the camera and Daniel standing behind the staircase.
Above Daniel’s head, Emma had written:

DADDY TOLD THEM WHEN MOM WAS COMING.
Daniel had known Sarah would arrive.
