Chapter 5 - THE CASE PREPARED BEFORE THEIR BIRTH.
Daniel’s petition described Amara as physically weak, emotionally volatile and financially motivated.
It cited her hospital gown, medication and refusal to surrender the babies for private testing.
Amara faced him from the bed.
“You turned recovery into evidence against me because illness only earns sympathy when wealth approves it.”
The nurses documented that she was alert, stable and making informed decisions.
Daniel’s attorney offered a private settlement: generous support if Amara surrendered voting rights and agreed that Evelyn would supervise the children’s trust.
Amara declined.
“My children are not a price you increase until I stop saying no.”
Rebecca joined the case as a patent beneficiary but refused control over Amara’s choices.
“I lost my child to people who claimed they knew better. I will not repeat that language.”
The judge denied Daniel’s emergency petition and preserved Amara’s custody.
Then a forensic review exposed that Daniel’s filing had been prepared before the babies were born.
