Michael remembered responding as a volunteer firefighter.
Judge Hale ordered the scene cleared before federal investigators arrived.
Michael noticed abnormal skid marks but failed to document them.
“I trusted authority,” he said.
Rachel replied:
“The poor are punished for missing paperwork. You had authority and still stayed silent.”
Michael accepted responsibility and testified.
Judge Hale was arrested for evidence tampering and conspiracy.
Stolen school funds were recovered.
Cafeteria workers, drivers, and maintenance staff were placed on the restitution board.
Vanessa protested:
“You’re giving money to people who can’t manage it.”
