Hospital footage showed Helen leaving the clinic alive after the time on her death certificate. She entered a black SUV registered to Jason. He admitted driving her but claimed Carter ordered him to take her to a rehabilitation center after a breakdown. Maya’s voice shook. “You sent my mother away and told me she was dead.” Jason said he was protecting the family from scandal. “You were finally becoming respected. I would not let a cleaning woman destroy your career.” Maya stepped closer. “She built my career with hands your family would not shake.” Federal agents found Helen alive in a private facility under another name, medicated but conscious. Noah’s reunion with her was slow and supervised. Helen whispered that she had hidden proof inside Maya’s house. Jason had searched for it for years. The evidence was beneath the tile where Noah had been left sleeping. Police lifted the floor panel—and found a ledger listing hundreds of children’s trust accounts.
