Records showed Carter paid a private attorney to remove Amber from Helen after childbirth, claiming a teenage hospital cleaner could not provide a suitable home. Carter later raised Amber to believe Helen abandoned her. The same system used against Maya and Noah had begun with Helen. Amber’s anger turned toward Carter. “You made me despise the woman you stole me from.” Helen replied, “What she did to you was cruel. What you did to Noah was still your choice.” Amber accepted charges and testified without demanding forgiveness. Carter’s clinic collapsed as families reopened custody cases and recovered stolen funds. Nurses and aides took control of the new nonprofit board. Jason watched from jail as the house was transferred into Noah’s protected trust. Then investigators examined the stain on Noah’s hoodie. It was not juice but dye from a hospital evidence bag. Inside the matching bag was a wedding ring engraved with Maya’s name—and dated six years before she met Jason.
