Laura’s mother, Diane, arrived at the police station wearing the grocery-store uniform she had worked in for twenty-two years.
She admitted witnessing the signature.
Years earlier, Eleanor offered to pay Sophie’s hospital bills after a severe illness.

Diane slammed her hand on the table.
“You stood beside a sick child and named your price. That was not help. That was extortion with a charitable receipt.”
A forensic review proved Laura’s signature had been copied from a hospital authorization.
The share transfer was fraudulent.
Former employees then revealed Eleanor’s foundation offered emergency assistance only to workers who signed away legal claims.
Families accepted because medication, rent and food could not wait for justice.
Mark’s fortune had been built by turning desperation into contracts.
A judge froze the family trust and restored Laura’s voting shares.
Eleanor’s confidence finally cracked.
