Chapter 1 - THE VIDEO DATED TOMORROW.
Claire knelt on the marble floor while Diane gripped the back of her robe and Ryan filmed from the gold sofa.
Mrs. Whitmore entered and crossed the room without hesitation.
“Take your hands off her.”
Diane snapped, “This is family business.”
Mrs. Whitmore forced her hand away, then turned toward Ryan.
“You filmed your wife begging for help?”
Ryan kept smiling.
“She deserved to be taught a lesson. She is my wife. I decide what happens here.”
Mrs. Whitmore knocked the phone from his hand, helped Claire stand and placed herself between them.
“This house belongs to me. By sunrise, everyone who helped you will be gone.”
Ryan’s confidence broke.
Claire stared at the phone on the cushion.
“There are more videos.”
Mrs. Whitmore opened the gallery. Each file showed Claire being ordered to apologize to wealthy guests, clean rooms in formal clothes and surrender her paycheck.
The newest video was labeled with tomorrow’s date.
