Chapter 3 - THE MOTHER WHO CHOSE A DYNASTY

Eleanor Blackwood entered the room like she owned the air itself. Pearls. Perfect posture. No emotion.
She did not look at Emily. Not once.
Instead, she addressed Ethan.
“Stop the recording. This is a private matter.”
Emily let out a short, broken laugh from the floor.
“Private? Your guests just watched me get called trash.”
Eleanor’s voice remained calm.
“Victoria is protecting your future. This marriage secures your company, your legacy, your position.”
Ethan looked around the room—at the silence, at the judgment, at the way wealth had already decided who was believable.
“You told me she left for money,” he said slowly.
Eleanor didn’t hesitate.
“She had nothing. No name. No standing. No place beside you.”
Emily opened the hospital envelope. Inside: a pregnancy report… and a death certificate.
Her voice cracked.
“This says my daughter died at birth.”
She pointed at the signature.
“That doctor never touched me.”
For the first time, Eleanor’s expression shifted. Not guilt—fear of exposure.
Then a voice came from the doorway.

Mrs. Alvarez stepped inside.
