In return: Sophie returned safely.
Emily took the phone.
“You don’t own truth.”
He laughed.
“I own courts.”
Ethan streamed the call live. Federal agents listened. Guests watched.
Victoria broke.
“I didn’t mean to push her… I just needed the envelope gone.”
Not accident. Not panic.
Control.
But when agents reached the airfield…
