It claimed James had no biological relationship to Emily’s unborn baby.

Karen described Emily as a calculating outsider who knew James would be deployed and unable to investigate.
The courtroom listened more politely to the wealthy defendants than it had listened to Emily at the hospital.
Their accusations came through experienced attorneys, bound folders and expert witnesses.
Emily’s truth came through tears, interrupted sleep and a family that owned a bakery.
James refused to doubt her.

The new results confirmed that he was the father.
Investigators examined the first report and discovered the sample attributed to James belonged to Ethan.
William had secretly collected hair from the wrong son because he needed a non-match.
Ethan had known nothing about it.

Employees organized a walkout, demanding independent leadership and protection for whistleblowers.
Emily addressed them outside the courthouse.

The guardianship petition was dismissed.
Emily regained full control over her medical decisions.
