SHE BEGGED IN HER OWN HOUSE / Chapter 6 / 10

Chapter 6 - THE WILL WRITTEN FOR THE HOUSEHOLD STAFF.

Hannah’s will transferred her company shares to a trust for household employees, retired staff and their families.

She wrote that the Mercer fortune had been preserved through unpaid overtime, withheld pensions and workers who remained during bankruptcy.

Margaret called the will emotional revenge.

A retired gardener stepped forward.

“We missed our children’s birthdays protecting this estate. Your family called it loyalty until loyalty asked to be repaid.”

Payroll records showed pension deductions had financed chandelier repairs, imported furniture and Margaret’s personal expenses. Retired employees were later removed from estate cottages because they were no longer considered useful.

Claire refused to place Hannah’s shares in her own name.

“The people whose wages funded them should elect the board.”

Richard arrived with attorneys and claimed Ava had stolen the will.

The child advocate stopped him from questioning her directly.

Then the housekeeper produced another video.

It showed Richard placing Ava inside the hidden room.
