Chapter 7 - THE SON THEY ERASED FOR AN INHERITANCE.

Julian demanded to know why Noah’s birth had been hidden.

Eleanor answered that a child born to an employee would weaken negotiations with investors.

Elena stared at her.

“You erased my son because his mother wore a uniform.”

Vanessa insisted Julian had never publicly acknowledged Noah and therefore the marriage agreement remained valid.

A family-court judge among the guests agreed.

Margaret asked how much the Harrington Foundation had donated to his campaign.

The judge tried to leave.

Federal agents stopped him.

Noah’s sealed file contained a custody petition declaring Elena financially unfit before any hearing had occurred.

Vanessa had signed it the morning of the gala.

Julian knelt beside Noah.

“You are not a claim or a scandal. You are my son.”

Noah asked quietly, “Then why did you let us use the service entrance?”

Julian had no answer.

Rosa opened one final document.

Julian had authorized the employee entrance policy three years earlier.

He had not known Noah then—but he had known exactly which families the rule humiliated.
