Daniel’s records showed otherwise. She had redirected every request through her office and rejected claims from custodians, dishwashers and laundry staff for “insufficient professionalism.”
Employees in management received approval within hours.
A housekeeper named Teresa stepped from behind the brass desk.
“My husband died while I waited for money already taken from my paycheck.”
Brooke accused her of creating drama in front of guests.
Rose answered, “You call grief unprofessional when it comes from someone carrying towels.”
The audit traced the denied claims into a hospitality-awards budget. Brooke used the money for designer uniforms, executive dinners and the gala where she accepted an award for employee wellness.
Elena removed her own hotel access card and placed it on Daniel’s tablet.
“I approved that award without asking who paid for the photograph.”
She surrendered oversight pending review.
