The card contained videos from Celeste’s Young Ladies Initiative.
Girls from shelters and struggling families polished silver, cleaned kitchens and served private parties while donors praised themselves for teaching discipline. Their families had been promised scholarships. Most received nothing.
One recording showed Celeste telling a frightened child:
“Gratitude begins when you stop acting equal.”
Marcus looked around his spotless kitchen.
“How many children worked inside this house?”
The estate manager answered, “At least fourteen.”
Celeste blamed contractors and insisted the girls volunteered.
A former participant named Naomi Reed said Celeste threatened to report her mother to immigration authorities if she quit.
The scholarship fund had collected millions. Its money financed Celeste’s lifestyle and Marcus’s campaign for hospital board chair.
Marcus froze the campaign account and surrendered every connected donation.
