THE GIRLS SHE MADE SERVANTS / Chapter 6 / 10

Chapter 6 - THE AGREEMENT HANNAH SIGNED.

Hannah admitted signing the initiative’s original pilot agreement.

She believed the girls would receive paid internships, tutoring and housing support. When she discovered they were being used as domestic labor, she tried to terminate the program.

Naomi’s disappointment remained sharp.

“You signed because the brochure looked kind. We worked because our mothers needed rent.”

Hannah did not ask for forgiveness.

“I had lawyers, influence and time. You had none. Review my part too.”

A survivor council refused to replace one wealthy family leader with another. Hannah, Marcus and Celeste were removed from control while former participants and youth advocates audited the fund.

Celeste tried to bargain by offering donor names.

Naomi answered, “Truth is not a coupon rich people use after getting caught.”

Then investigators found the twins’ fingerprints on several withdrawal forms.
