Lily stared at him.
“You protected a company while we were scared inside your house.”
Robert had financed the Young Ladies Initiative after being promised cheap labor for Hale-owned hotels. He called it workforce development.
Naomi replied, “You priced children’s obedience and called it opportunity.”
Robert, Celeste, Dr. Cross and participating executives faced separate investigations. Marcus and Hannah remained under review for the papers they signed and warnings they ignored.
The twins entered trauma-informed care without being forced to forgive anyone.
