Chapter 2 - THE GRAVE RYAN OPENED.
The cemetery camera showed Ryan entering after midnight with a shovel and leaving forty minutes later carrying a military document case.
Nancy’s face went white.
“Your father buried something with him that Ryan was never supposed to find.”
Kelsey had grown up believing Colonel James Morgan died in a training accident. Nancy now admitted he had been investigating a defense contractor that employed Ryan’s father.
“You let me marry into that family?”
“I thought Ryan was different.”
Christopher searched Ryan’s financial records. He had recently paid a judge, an evaluator and the same attorney who once handled James Morgan’s death certificate.
Kelsey’s jaw tightened.
“Poor families are called paranoid when wealthy men purchase every official who could prove them right.”
The missing case contained witness statements from civilian mechanics who said defective parts were knowingly installed on Army vehicles.
One witness was still alive.
The name on the list was Nancy Morgan.

Ryan had filed a petition claiming Kelsey was mentally unfit to serve and Nancy was dangerous.
