Chapter 5 - THE HOSPITAL THAT SILENCED HER FATHER.

Isaiah entered St. Catherine’s Hospital after a minor kitchen accident. He was conscious and scheduled to testify about the worker trust the next morning.

Instead, he was declared mentally incompetent and moved to a private floor funded by the Whitmore Foundation.

Maya had been told he died overnight.

Records showed Eleanor’s attorney arrived before any specialist examined him.

Ryan said his mother handled charitable cases personally.

“My father was not charity,” Maya answered. “He was a witness.”

A nurse named Denise Carter came forward. She had objected when Isaiah’s phone was taken and visitors were blocked.

The hospital fired her for misconduct.

Eleanor called Denise bitter.

“Working women become bitter when wealthy families rename obedience as professionalism.”

Federal agents reopened Isaiah’s death.

Then Denise revealed Isaiah survived for three more days.

One visitor had been allowed into his room.

The visitor signed as Maya Brooks.

Maya had never been there.
