Margaret admitted that before marrying into the Sterling family, she had worked in the hotel laundry under the name Margaret Ellis.
She designed the linen-tracking system that saved the company millions. Andrew’s father took the patent and later married her after she threatened legal action.
Victoria stared at the elegant matriarch.
“You became one of them.”
Margaret answered, “I became protected by the same name that kept others silent.”
