THE WIFE THEY MADE A MAID / Chapter 2 / 10

Chapter 2 - THE DIVORCE ADRIAN SIGNED.

Adrian recognized his electronic signature on the divorce affidavit.

Vivian said he had approved a routine protection package while negotiating overseas. The document described Elena as unstable, financially dependent and willing to abandon the marriage for a settlement.

“You signed a judgment about me without hearing my voice,” Elena said.

Adrian did not hide behind the fine print.

“I trusted the person with power instead of the woman being accused. Put my part under investigation.”

A forensic attorney found the affidavit had been inserted behind merger documents. That reduced Adrian’s intent, but not the damage his signature caused. Vivian had used it to cancel Elena’s phone, freeze her accounts and classify every attempt to leave as trespassing.

Adelaide produced Elena’s original marriage certificate and weeks of undelivered letters.

Adrian looked toward the servants gathered near the doors.

Vivian snapped, “They were never owners.”
