The resident-worker board restored seized homes, refunded medical deductions and converted the mansion into an elder-rights clinic, affordable housing offices and a public archive. Victoria, Cross, Reed and participating executives faced prosecution. Adrian, Nora, Evelyn and Marcus remained accountable for signatures, silence and systems they enabled.
The brass lock, house keys and false guardianship order were displayed beneath glass.
At the opening, Lily heard a phone ringing behind the bottle rack again.
