Marcus admitted taking the missing page from the cellar archive. Victoria promised to protect his brother if he destroyed it. Instead, he hid it inside the wall cabinet and waited for Adrian to return.
Nora looked at him.
“You kept proof near the door and still left me behind it.”
Marcus surrendered his badge and accepted investigation without asking his final choice to erase the earlier ones.
The recovered page named Judge Cross, Dr. Reed, Victoria and several Vale executives as automatic removals from the foundation. It also barred Adrian from inheriting control if he ignored documented complaints.
Adrian had received eleven complaints through his office. His chief of staff marked them resolved, and he never reviewed the originals.
Rosa said, “Distance is a luxury. The people evicted from their homes felt every decision up close.”
Adrian accepted removal from permanent leadership.
Courts froze sales, reopened competency findings and returned residents to homes where possible.
Then police examined the chair that held Nora.
