He claimed the second document was fraudulent, but DNA records confirmed paternity. Anna said Ethan promised to help challenge unpaid wages, began a relationship and disappeared when her daughter was born.
Claire looked at him with disgust.
“You did not betray two women because you were confused. You targeted workers whose children could unlock shares.”
Federal investigators detained Ethan and seized his phone. James and Evelyn Whitmore, Lawson directors and the custody attorney were referred for fraud, coercion and pension theft.
Maya and Anna retained custody. Any future contact would be decided through ordinary family court, not corporate influence.
The employee council halted the merger and converted the trust into voting shares for verified workers.
Then investigators opened Ethan’s travel history.
He had booked similar one-way flights from six American cities during the previous three years.
