Rosa admitted carrying the bottle but said Eleanor told her it contained disinfectant for Maria’s room.
Maria remembered Rosa spraying the door handle before guards claimed her fingerprints proved she tried to escape.
Rosa lowered her head.
“I trusted the woman who controlled my job and my apartment.”
Elena did not excuse her mother.
“You taught me silence kept families fed. It also kept them trapped.”
Rosa surrendered her council position and every message from Eleanor.
The records proved Eleanor designed the accusations, Thomas supplied false medical reports and Adrian’s executives used the cases to erase worker claims.
Adrian resigned from the company and surrendered his inheritance to restitution.
Claire did not accept reconciliation.
“Responsibility is not a wedding gift you give after the damage.”
Then the council found a second marriage certificate.
Adrian had legally married another woman two years earlier.
The bride was listed as Elena Alvarez.
