Chapter 1 - THE FORTY-SEVEN SECONDS THEY COULD NOT ERASE.
Daniel ordered everyone away from the broken glass and opened the security feed while Madison remained conscious on the rug.
The footage showed Madison seize Victoria’s forearm first. Victoria pulled free, but never pushed her. Madison stepped backward, caught her heel on the rug and fell against the safety-glass table.
“I told you,” Victoria said, shaking. “She came at me.”
Madison cried that the angle was misleading.
Daniel replayed the audio. Minutes before the confrontation, Madison had whispered, “Once she reacts, everyone will finally see what she is.”
Victoria stared at her.
“You planned to make the daughter of a housekeeper look violent because you thought your family name would finish the story.”
Commissioner Fletcher preserved the recording and stopped Madison’s attorney from removing the camera card.
Then Dr. Chen noticed one table bracket had been loosened before dinner.
The earlier footage showed a silver-haired woman entering alone with a screwdriver.
