News stations played the clip of Lupita loading the crate and called her a fraudulent cleaner who endangered animals to extort a senator.
Miguel watched strangers condemn his sister from twelve silent seconds.
“They trust a billionaire’s edited video before asking why a missing woman was surrounded by armed guards.”
Hannah enlarged the frame. Beyond the cropped edge, a man threatened Lupita while her lips formed three words: FIND MY BROTHER.
The mother dog had not been abandoned. Lupita sent her toward Miguel’s trucking route because she knew he would stop.
Federal agents raided Vale Ridge and found locked worker dormitories, falsified veterinary files and a hidden medical room.
Collins confessed that Vale erased his gambling debt in exchange for moving Lupita.
He begged for leniency.
Miguel stared at him.
“You want mercy because the handcuffs reached you. Where was mercy when my sister begged behind your badge?”
At an abandoned dairy farm, agents found Lupita’s jacket but no Lupita.
On the wall she had scratched: THE BABY IS NOT THE ONLY CHILD THEY TOOK.
