Emma remembered signing hospital forms while recovering from delivery and facing an unpaid bill larger than her yearly income.
Grant’s attorney had offered to cover the charges if she signed a “temporary family agreement.”
“You hid a custody weapon inside medical debt,” Daniel said.
Grant replied that Emma had legal counsel available.
“She had a public defender handling three other hearings and a newborn beside her,” Daniel answered. “You had six attorneys and a private suite.”
Emma did not hide behind pressure.
“My signature harmed Lily. Investigate it. But do not pretend the choice was equal.”
The worker trustees arrived from the hotel kitchen, laundry and maintenance departments. Ruth Delgado, a retired housekeeper, placed their original ledger on the wedding table.
The Holloways had used employee wage concessions to build luxury properties, then called the workers grateful beneficiaries.
Ruth opened the final page.
The trust did not give Grant custody rights.
