Vincent ordered Daniel to stop.
Daniel smiled and called Ava’s story a rehearsed attempt to steal an inheritance.
Most guests accepted his version immediately.
Daniel wore a custom tuxedo and sat on three corporate boards.
Rosa washed their sheets.
To them, wealth looked like innocence.
Vincent sent two guards to the lake house chapel.
They returned with a metal box containing Michael’s original will, sealed letters, and a video recorded days before his death.
Michael said he had married Rosa privately because Vincent had threatened to disinherit him for marrying “beneath the family.”
He named any child of that marriage heir to fifty-one percent of the Callahan hotel trust.
Vincent’s shame became visible before the entire room.
Daniel claimed the video was fabricated.
Ava stepped toward him.
“My mom never wanted your money. She wanted you to stop hunting us.”
Then the ballroom speakers crackled.
Rosa’s frightened voice came through the hotel intercom.
“Vincent, Daniel knows Ava is Michael’s daughter.”
