The payment had been disguised as a donation to Judge Hale’s youth foundation.
Three days later, he had declared Rosa unstable without meeting her and authorized Ava’s removal.
Judge Hale called it routine protection.
Ava looked across the room at the people who had judged her mother’s uniform.
“Why does being poor make adults think she is dangerous?”
No one answered.
Vincent opened a second document.
The judge had also sealed the investigation into Michael’s fatal car crash.
Daniel’s confidence finally slipped.
He accused Vincent of destroying the family over a child he had met twenty minutes earlier.
Vincent’s voice turned cold.
“She is family. You made sure I never knew.”
Federal agents entered through the locked doors after receiving the live security files.
Judge Hale tried to leave through the kitchen but hotel workers blocked the path.
Then an agent searched Daniel’s phone.
A message had been sent six minutes earlier.
Transfer the witness to the private airfield.
