Chapter 4 - THE FORGED SIGNATURE.

The red light on the door lock flickered, fighting against an external hack.
Clara rushed to the digital wall panel, frantically tapping the screen to reinforce the lockdown.
“You cannot keep us out, Clara,” Julian’s voice taunted through the intercom system.
“My family built this house, and my family owns the local police.”
Agnes smiled wickedly, stepping away from the corner.
“You should have taken the settlement money and left quietly last year, little girl.”
Clara ignored the nanny and focused on the smart hub's internal network.
If the cellular signal was jammed, she had to find another way to broadcast the truth.
She accessed the internal security archive and searched the access logs.
She found a hidden folder labeled “Guardianship Transfer.”
Clara opened it and gasped.
It was a fully executed legal document granting Julian’s mother complete custody of Leo.
Attached to the file was a psychiatric evaluation declaring Clara mentally unstable and dangerous to her child.
The evaluation was signed by a highly respected private doctor she had never met.
They had spent months meticulously building a fake medical history to destroy her life.
The grey powder wasn't meant to kill Leo. It was intended to cause a specific allergic reaction.
They needed a medical emergency to justify tearing the baby from Clara's arms permanently.
The smart bottle hadn't just saved her baby's health. It had derailed a multimillion-dollar conspiracy.
The door lock produced a harsh beep and flashed green, indicating that the override was ninety percent complete.

Clara desperately searched the network for an external output.
She found an active audio feed connected to the mansion's main ballroom.
