Adrian claimed the petition was only a precaution because Elena had threatened to disappear.
Elena opened her crossbody pouch and produced months of messages.
“You stopped answering after your engagement was announced. Then hotel security began checking my locker.”
Vanessa read Adrian’s promises to attend prenatal appointments and provide a home for the child. The final message warned Elena never to contact him near Vale Hotel property.
A manager called Elena an hourly employee creating a private disturbance.
Vanessa turned on him.
“If a guest were pregnant and frightened, you would offer a chair. Because she wears an apron, you threaten her schedule.”
Personnel records showed Elena had been transferred to this hotel after reporting missing service charges at another Vale property. Adrian had personally requested the transfer.
He said he wanted to keep her employed.
Elena replied, “You wanted me close enough to monitor.”
Then the transfer form revealed another approval.
Richard Vale, Vanessa’s billionaire father, had signed it before Adrian ever met Elena.
