Chapter 9 - THE CORRIDOR VANESSA ARRANGED.

Rosa confronted Richard in the executive conference room.

“You withheld care paid for by workers, then demanded gratitude whenever you released one claim.”

Richard offered every corrupt name he knew if prosecutors protected the Vale hotels from seizure.

Rosa refused.

“Truth is not a luxury asset you trade after the market turns.”

Adrian, Richard, Caroline and clinic executives faced separate investigations. Vanessa testified about the statements and campaigns she signed. Elena testified about the hush agreement and evidence she withheld. None received immunity merely for cooperating.

The worker trust assumed temporary control, repaid stolen service charges and restored dismissed pregnant employees.

Then forensic analysts examined Adrian’s phone.

His messages to Elena were genuine, but one conversation had been deleted from her device.

It showed Vanessa contacting Elena before the corridor confrontation.

Vanessa had told her exactly when Adrian would walk past.

Elena stared at her.
