Chapter 6 - The Signature on Amelia’s Car

Arthur denied ordering work on Amelia’s car.

Experts found his signature had been copied from a fleet contract.

Cameron blamed a mechanic who disappeared after the crash.

The mechanic’s widow, Rosa Delgado, arrived with his recorded confession.

He said Cameron ordered him to disable a warning system so Amelia would miss a board meeting.

Another person later damaged the vehicle and turned intimidation into tragedy.

Cameron called Rosa a liar seeking money.

She stared him down.

“You always call poor witnesses greedy because you cannot imagine anyone risking everything for the truth.”

The recording implicated Judge Vale in the cover-up, but the final instruction came from Lydia Hart, Sloane’s mother and Whitmore’s general counsel.

Lydia promised Cameron control of Jacob’s trust if he married Sloane after Evelyn was discredited.

Sloane surrendered her mother’s messages.

One said, “Arthur will protect the company again. He always chooses the name over the child.”

Arthur looked devastated.

Then security traced the message to his own personal account.

Someone inside the ballroom had been using Arthur’s identity all night.
