THE CAMERA BELIEVED EMMA. / Chapter 8 / 10

Chapter 8 - THE CHILD THEY PLANNED TO RENAME.

The false registration showed Victoria intended to place Emma under emergency family guardianship after discrediting her publicly.

Once labeled dishonest and emotionally unstable, Emma would be renamed Emma Vale and removed from Clara’s legal line.

The workers’ trust would then pass to Victoria as guardian.

Charles stared at her.

“You planned to take the child after stealing her mother.”

Victoria’s voice remained chillingly controlled.

“I planned to give her stability.”

Emma answered, “You mean a richer cage.”

The clinic doctor arrived with guardianship papers already signed.

He described Emma as traumatized, suggestible, and overly attached to hotel employees.

Marcus looked at the diagnosis.

“You wrote this without meeting her.”

The doctor replied, “Her accusations demonstrate fixation.”

Emma’s voice sharpened.

“So when poor people notice theft, you call it illness?”

Police seized the papers and arrested the doctor for falsifying records.

The bride finally stepped forward.

She had seen Clara in the suite that morning and secretly given her a service elevator key.

Clara escaped before Victoria’s guards arrived.

Then the bride revealed where she went.

Clara was waiting inside the old laundry room.
