Caroline, her attorney and hospital executives were indicted for fraud, unlawful record changes and custody conspiracy. Daniel faced review for concealment and the placement network he helped create.
Pierce Children’s Hospitals became a patient-worker benefit corporation. Medical debts tied to coerced custody were canceled, family records restored and Amara credited for her research.
Emma remained with Ruth while building a relationship with Amara and Lily at her own pace.
The rabbit, memory card and altered bracelet were displayed in the hospital archive.
A plaque read:
“THEY CALLED HER CONFUSED BECAUSE A CHILD’S MEMORY THREATENED A FAMILY’S FORTUNE.”
During the dedication, Olivia found another stitched pocket inside the rabbit.
It contained a third newborn bracelet.
