The second deed showed Margaret Lane and the original domestic workers owned not only the gardens but the ballroom, foyer and front steps. Elaine’s trustee deed covered management, not personal ownership.
Rosewood became a worker-descendant cooperative. Medical funds were restored, retired staff received permanent housing and the Whitmore loan collapsed.
Brittany entered a diversion agreement for the slap, apologized without demanding forgiveness and surrendered assets purchased with diverted money. Adrian ended the engagement after both admitted their relationship had been built through concealed histories. Elaine remained only as outside counsel after the workers elected her.
The intact flute, black clutch and ownership file were displayed near the ballroom entrance.
A plaque read:
“SHE CALLED IT HER WEDDING IN A HOUSE HER GRANDMOTHER’S WAGES HAD BOUGHT.”
During the reopening, Collins found another page hidden inside Margaret’s deed.
It listed one private beneficiary with authority over the front steps.
