Adrian admitted telling the bank he expected to inherit Rosewood.

Elaine had never promised him the estate.

“You treated my death like a scheduled transfer,” she said.

He claimed he only wanted enough financing to save Brittany’s family company and protect their employees.

Charles replied that failure would cost two thousand jobs.

Rosa looked toward the banquet staff.

“Executives always stand behind workers when creditors arrive, then step in front when profits return.”

The loan application described Elaine as elderly, dependent and no longer capable of managing property. Adrian had certified the statement.

Brittany turned toward him.

“You told me she wanted to retire.”

Elaine did not allow the bride to pretend innocence.

“You repeated what benefited you without asking the woman whose home was being pledged.”

The estate board suspended Adrian’s authority and stopped the loan.

Then Collins produced the appraisal used by Charles’s bank.
