“You used our jobs to defend a deal that erased them,” Rosa said.
Henry froze the merger and transferred temporary governance to an elected worker-resident council. Ruby received no automatic power over adults simply because her bloodline had been proven.
“I want her protected, not crowned,” Mara said.
Diane offered to identify every executive involved if officers let her leave quietly.
The attorney answered, “Truth is not a VIP benefit.”
Then investigators recovered a sealed video Claire recorded before her custody hearing.
Claire said Eleanor had not acted alone. Someone inside the county foster office altered Ruby’s placement history and blocked every letter Ethan sent.
The official’s name was hidden, but the video showed a distinctive diamond ring striking the desk.
