Chapter 9 - THE JUDGE BEHIND THE DIAMOND RING.

Diane claimed the ring belonged to her late mother.
The audit proved her mother, Judge Caroline Mercer, supervised Ashford Foundation custody cases while secretly holding hotel shares. She had used family court orders to separate children from parents who challenged Ashford businesses.
Diane inherited the ring, the apartment and the false-heir plan.

Diane answered, “And you all applauded while it benefited you.”
That truth did not excuse her, but it widened the investigation.
Caroline’s archived orders were reopened. Families received independent counsel. Children remained protected from forced reunions or public spectacle.

He had preserved letters, DNA samples and worker ledgers before disappearing.
The attorney inserted a last audit cartridge.
