Claire blocked them.
“She questioned a machine that could kill her. That is not insubordination.”
Linda mocked Claire.
“You arrive in a private jet and ask women earning sixteen dollars an hour to trust you.”
Claire answered, “Do not trust my wealth. Trust the records and your own vote.”
The files showed workers’ health deductions funded insurance policies that enriched the company if they died.
The workforce voted to shut down.
Then Ana found her mother’s signature on the original bypass installation.
